Total solar eclipse in the Sahara on 2 August 2027

A unique natural spectacle that will not return any time soon

The desert is a magical landscape, a kingdom of timelessness and connectedness. The magic of the silence and vastness of the desert as well as a twinkling canopy of stars make us marvel like children again.

During this time, we leave our comfort zone, because it is hot in the Sahara at this time.
We experience it under completely different circumstances than ever before: riding out with the dromedaries after sunrise or into the sunset, letting ourselves BE and BECOME in the oasis during the day, fire and sound in the evening. We go with the flow of nature!

The oasis is near Douz. It is inhabited by people who grow fruit and vegetables and raise livestock. It has water and there is plenty of shade under the large palm trees to keep you cool.

Another highlight is an adventure trip to the Grand Erg, the largest continuous sea of sand in the Sahara in southern Tunisia!

We also set off for this event at sunrise in order to be back at the oasis by midday.

Solar Eclipse

After sunrise on 2 August, we have breakfast together, pack our things into the jeeps and then drive into the dunes to immerse ourselves in this natural spectacle.

We then say goodbye to the Sahara and the jeeps take us to Djerba to a wonderful hotel by the sea with the option of thalassotherapy treatments: Treatment with sea water, algae, salt and mud.

We spend another 3 nights there.

It is possible to extend our stay in this beautiful hotel for another week. I would be happy to book this.

This trip is something special:
it combines a natural spectacle with self-awareness and a pampering programme.
